"Sound, music and glass exist as art forms of time," explains Hsu. On her latest full length, she uses these elements to express the concept of time in various ways, abstracting drones made from glass sounds and "exploring the unknown to uncover the veil of time." Whether this is successful depends on your relationship with time and how you're able to see that reflected in Hsu's compositions. Each track is made up of broadly similar elements, using subtle recordings and complex processes to create gusty soundscapes that reflect Hsu's mindset - sitting somewhere between Byron Westbrook's cinematic storytelling and Jana Winderen's textural abstraction.
