Boomkat Product Review:
This is the second album from Berlin / Vienna’s Komeit, a collaboration that produced one of our favourite ever pop albums last year with the release of the fabulous ‘Quiet is the new Loud’. Komeit produce the kind of crisp, beautifully naïve songs that you’d expect from anybody sharing a label with Barbara Morgenstern, a melancholy tinge that leaves a bitersweet taste following every listen and embeds itself in the memory with much fondness. Pivoting around an interplay of upfront acoustic guitar, bass, synths, strings, and the memorable vocal delivery courtesy of Chris and Julia, everything here seems to get coated in sparkling honey residue that leaves you feeling hugely satisfied and quietly uplifted throughout . ‘Falling into Place’ is easily as enticing as Lali Puna’s ‘Scary World Theory’ and is deserving of similar adoration. You see, Popmusic has rarely been as genuine or as fragile as this. Highly Recommended.
