Boomkat Product Review:
Gallic blog-house upstart turned bass-savvy acid and techno crowd-puller Brodinski is the latest jock to helm a FabricLive session, and its hard to argue with the strength and immediacy of his selection or his delivery, which combines the rapid-fire hooks and jump-up structuring of dubstep and garage to a firm, fierce 4/4 template. It builds out of Chicago-indebted jackers from Lowjack, Axel Boman and Harkin & Raney via a slinky middle section - taking in Paul Woolford's squelchy steppers' refix of T. Williams' 'Heartbeat' and deep techno killers like Samuel L. Sessions' 'Hype-Nosis' and DVS1's narced-out mix of Rejected's 'For The People' - towards an electrifying peaktime climax spearheaded by KiNK's 303-crazy Gingy & Bordello version and Gesaffelstein's absolutely slamming, EBM-inflected tech-funker 'Control Movement'. Bangers from Instra:mental, Objekt, Switch, Riton and Sigha round out a lean, mean disc that captures exactly where Europe's party-minded dancefloors are at right now.
