Boomkat Product Review:
DMC legend DJ Craze is the only solo DJ to have bagged himself the World DMC Championship in three adjacent years. His Fabric mix begins with a self-penned intro track featuring Armanni Reign, referencing various UK-specifics as Ricky Hatton and the Fabric club itself, next comes N.O.R.E.'s 'Set It Off ft. Swizz Beats and J. Ru$$ getting the mix off to a raucous start. After an inaugural party hip hop phase, Craze throws a bit of Jan Hammer's Miami Vice theme tune into the bargain, leading into a series of Miami Bass cuts. Chromeo's 'Bonafied Lovin' is an appropriate segue out of all that and into a next phase of old-school pop, including Armand Van Helden's 'I Want Your Soul' and Earth Wind & Fire's 'Brazillian Rhyme'. Naturally there's a fair old showing of scratch tactics throughout, particularly when it comes to Fresh Celeste & M4 Sers' splendid 'Give It All To Me', which paves the way for the notorious 'Lindsay Lohan's Revenge' by Pase Rock. Exhausting, tremendous good fun all round.
