Boomkat Product Review:
Smallville lynchpin Christopher Rau unfurls F.M.E., his 3rd solo album for the cult Hamburg label
There’s a deep, jazzy swing to proceedings which defines the sound of F.M.E., progressing from the undulating ambient house pressure of Utoplateau into the sloshing, heavy-lidded jam of Jetlag Alter, and extdending into classic hip hop vibes on B.S. Fondue and the dusty downstroke of Glacial Pacer at the mid way point. From there on he modulates the energy with the subtly psychedelic swing of Uebelst Bekorbt (House Mix), a neat deep house raver Lodjec, and the Sprinkles-esque Drama - Chamber for a satisfyingly rounded LP.
