F**k Off Get Free We Pour Light On Everything
**Custom gatefold jacket printed on thick 24pt. paperboard with printed CD dust sleeve** Core GYBE members regroup around Efrim Menuck for the apocalypse-baiting blues punk rage of their first LP-length work since the band's debut record as a trio almost 15 years ago. Far more balls-out than their other, perhaps better known band's output, 'Fxck Off Get Free We Pour Light On Everything' is sharper and far less quaint, alloying elements of hardcore, ragged garage blues and black metal with a vital fervour that bucks any post rock inference. In typical style, they flex some serious muscle on three extended pieces, interspersed with shorter pieces. The longer tracks have all been thoroughly road-tested, including the epic 'F**k Off Get Free (For The Island Of Montreal)', the steamtrain momentum of 'Austerity Blues', and the string-heavy swoon of 'What We Loved Was Not Enough', plus the scorched earth of 'Take Away These Early Grave Blues' with its strangely Ethiopiques-sounding string drone (and we'd love to know where that opening sample comes from), with the quieter counter of 'Little Ones Run', and 'Rains Thru The Roof At The Grande Ballroom'.
