Boomkat Product Review:
Exposè is a unique experimental piece from Alessandro Bosetti that places much of its focus on speech and the sonic patterns of the human voice. Each piece features Audrey Chen reading aloud a single sentence, repeating it throughout the entire duration, while Bosetti arranges a complex accompanying framework of microtonal instrumental fragments and rhythmic structures around the voice. Sounding particularly hypnotic, an electric piano line mirrors the spoken vocal, carving out a surreal and irregular melody which via repetition becomes an unlikely kind of hook. All these various sonic elements feel very precisely measured and thoughtfully pieced together - this is absolutely a million miles away from the majority of drone-related compositions out there. Recommended.
