Boomkat Product Review:
Margaret Dygas puts some funk in the trunk for Perlon with a proper, sub-heavy killer called Even 11 backed with the shifty, grubbing, narcotised Wishing Well.
No messing, that A-side Even 11 is a serious piece of dancefloor artillery, synching stylus-troubling subs with sparking drums to make your tendons twitch before a heavy US soul vocal sets it right off on a rollicking skank and you can put a fork in us cos we’re done.
B-side, Wishing Well heads farther down the rabbit hole, where the same drum and sub palette seem to melt into the ether with a time-dilating quality that’s druggy as anything you’ll hear this year.
