Boomkat Product Review:
Keeping you going until they've completed their fourth studio album, 65daysofstatic return with a release based on their touring experience with The Cure. The album edits together performances from two New York gigs: one at Madison Square Gardens and the other at Radio City Music Hall - both massively prestigious venues, yet unintimidated by their auspicious surroundings 65daysofstatic set about their performances with a certain amount of glee, even going so far as to belt out a bit of head-pounding Planet Mu-style electronics on the rather pranksterish 'Four Score And (Some Drum 'N' Bass)' and a spot of slavering, Moby-esque dance silliness via 'No Use Crying Over (Some Techno)'. Of course, most of the time the band take their craft rather more seriously, delivering stadium-filling post-rock like 'Retreat! Retreat!' or noisy epics like 'Drove Through Ghosts To Get Home', and Escape From New York proves to be a great stop-gap release for fans.
