The first 12" from the mysterious Equalised crew outta Berlin caused much speculation as to the identity of the unnamed producer, a timeless game of guessing and worng footing ensued until those with a keener ear were able to discern that the styles were quite obviously that of ****. The second 12" in the series comes from the same pair of hands, with a familiar drum palette this time reworked into one of the most elegiac and genuinely soul stirring breakbeat hardcore styled cuts of recent times. We really can't stress to you how good this track is (especially when you know the producer at work is far more accustomed to crafting deadly Detroit influenced techno), as he drifts in on rave melting synth pads before deploying a tool sharpened breakbeat which shifts within a woozy pattern, balancing breakbeat bombast with technoid rave friendly shimmy and most importantly shot through with a misty eyed spirit that we lap up wholesale. The flipside is more typical of the EQ'D style, fashioning an endlessly deep and effective dub house skipper with untamed dub chords stretching out into the distance and a deadly DJ Sneak-cum-Maurizio skank and skip pattern that you'll have a problem sitting still to. An utterly badass and massively recommended dance starter. TIP!
