Boomkat Product Review:
‘Entain’, Vladislav Delay's acclaimed Mille Plateaux debut, is finally available once again to us in limited supply. Following on from the Basic Channel sanctioned appearances on Chain Reaction, this album split itself into four tracks (and two interludes),opening with the menacing ‘Kohde’, which makes you think of being trapped in a freezer – all cold and deeply frightening despite the reverberating ghosts of dub lurking somewhere deep under its crust. Ripatti’s soundscapes and extended compositions have aged very well, still sounding as beguiling as they did when we first heard them a good few years ago. Anyone who wants to hear dub taken to its absolute extreme needs to go back to this excellent album, for our money one of Mille Plateaux’s finest moments, and a career high for Mr Delay.
