Boomkat Product Review:
The lesser known, but no less effective of Berghain's Marcels drops three tracks of insidiously hypnotic techno for OstGut Ton. 'Rapture' traps a Hood-esque disco lick in a wormhole of driving bass and pneumatic hi-hats, introducing crisp claps at the optimal moment for a slyly delivered rush. Increasing the intensity, 'Razkaz' churns out a relentless throbber wrapped with phasing, filtered synthlines to feel like you're being simultaneously sucked backwards and propelled forward into dancefloor oblivion, while 'Enigma' pounds out a martial kickdrum tattoo with hovering, restrained synthline potential coolly delivering its load all over your ears. Ideally consumed between the hours of 6am and 4pm on a sunday. Recommended to all techno persons.
