Boomkat Product Review:
Bruce Gilbert and Graham Lewis' post-Wire ambient-noise scape from 1980 exploring a more melodic style of song-writing, but one still struck by the possibilities of the studio-as-instrument. In 'Ends With The Sea' they nimbly render cranky guitars and Gilbert's pointillist melody to a grinding but glowing texturhythm cleaving the difference between industrial music and art-pop. With 'Hung Up To Dry Whilst Building An Arch' the lyrical content and guitars are smudged to glossolalia and diffused around their patented motorik drums, making for one of the eeriest, forward looking 7"s of the early '80s.
