Boomkat Product Review:
In his Sweatson Klank guise, the LA-based producer formerly known as Take presents his 1st new material in over two years. During that hiatus he's refined the sound you hear on 'Elevate Me' - an electronic/Hip Hop hybrid faithful to his roots and keenly looking forward. We hear this in the fibrillating bass and 2-stepped drums fused with sweet rhodes and soul vox on 'Always You', and equally in the crafty bass slips and hazy slyde of 'Own' or 'My Love Is Here''s double-timed Dubstep drums, while he's at his purest, neck-snappin' reelest on 'I Can't Explain', and 'In Between''s jazz-wise time-signature changes. Fans of Sepalcure or Falty DL should check this out.
