Boomkat Product Review:
Tobias Fruend and Max Loderbauer deliver the results of more studio experiments with six highly engrossing cuts informed by jazz, electro-acoustics and good ol' techno. The execution of their sound is simply second-to-none, displaying a craftsmanship and mastery of their machines that's practically unparalleled in their field, drawing unplanned results from 'Scale' with intuitive programming overrun by unpredictable delays or exploring jazz-abstracted electro-acoustic harmonics on 'Cabinet'. 'Eitherway' has the fervent experimentalism of Delia Derbyshire encountering a new piece of equipment in the Radiophonic workshop, while 'Forward' arranges repetitive patterns with for a mesmerizing moiré effect and the EP's most accessible track 'Uncertainty' sounds like Daniel Bell commissioned to score a 70's episode of Star Trek. Fans of techno-based electronic experimentalism will love this - very highly recommended.
