Boomkat Product Review:
A core member of the Gnod alignment strikes solo with two extended hardware invocations. Described by the band's Tesla Tapes label as "…a bit like being lost in the Ghost Town hearing a free party going off somewhere in the rubble. True story" this one contains nearly 40 minutes of mental mastication tweaked out on MFB synth, Yamaha keyboard and drum machine(s). Accompanied by a cryptic analogy to Eric Cantona which we've not quite worked out yet, Druss careens through the 20 minutes of raspin', tunnelling motorik on '91 Outside' to a thoroughly unsettling b-side inverting the hi-end dominance to a roiling bass flux grazed with frictional texurhythms and sparking rimshots to a lysergic subduction zone buried deep within.
