Boomkat Product Review:
Monkey Town's oddest character drops three joints of lairy, funked-up and squashed madness on his first release since last 2011's epic 'Pearls & Embarrassments' compilation and his debut Lp 'Mosaik'. That title track is like a jaunty adjunct to Altered Natives' brokebeat flex, informed by more eccentric electronic tastes and full of deviant, dissonant synth melody. 'Doctor Beak' has the deftly tucked swivel of Dutch bubbling sounds, but again with a characteristic touch for cartoonishly jazz-funky motifs, sounding like a Swindle or DVA production gone way astray. 'Plastic Hips' tightens up on a juicy, slower sexbeat for mutant boglers. Maaad.
