Boomkat Product Review:
Two classic records reissued on the unheard music series, hardcore improvised music by beresford (slits, premiere u.k. jounalist), Honsinger (cellist extraordinaire), David toop (experimental genius/author) & Kondo (japanese improv legend). Tristan Honsinger is an american cellist who has lived for years in Europe who met Steve Beresford when they both played in Derek Bailey's 'company'' at the ICA in london, 1977. Tristan was back in london to play the ICA when they took the opportunity to schlep a cassette recorder and two microphones there one afternoon and record a set of duets, using their ok grand piano. The second album features Toop & Kondo, recorded in an east london room without pianos!
