Boomkat Product Review:
"Portugal's blastah is one of those artists that any club kid knows, without knowing it. Every track he has dropped in the last two years has been DJ gold, and have been consistently rinsed around the world. There are understated Rihanna covers, Daddy Yankee edits, and proficient original club productions - a cut for any mood and time of the night. The Lisbon DJ\producer's "Dog EP" is a clear example of the 24 year old's versatility. There is an obvious club track, in the monstrous baile-funk influenced "Calor," but that track stands alone in its singular dance floor aim. "Last Wordz" is a romantic, Kizomba influenced cut, the only track devoid of an 808, and is a nod to his mentor, Lisbon's DJ TIba. The most exciting tracks on "Dog" are the collaborations with vocalists: London's Don Sinini, and Osaka's Le Makeup. "Level It" sports an Atlanta trap influenced instrumental, featuring the quickly rising London artist Don Sinini- think Future x Metro Boomin for contemporary club. Standout track "Changes" features Japanese artist Le Makeup, whose echoing vocals propel the song into a despairing anthem."
