Digipack Vol. 1
Whew!!! Roman machine maestro Passarani mints the Studiomaster series with five razor sharp cuts of acid electro in a style that has served him deadly well since for over 30 years.
Naught but groove here on all five counts. The Italian DJ/producer absolutely bosses the 303 in a super taut sort of electro-house charge ‘Nerve Pinch’ up front, and slays in every permutation of the vibe, from early ‘90s Nu Groove styled swagger of ‘Psy Vs Psy’ that gets progressively weirder, spannered in the top end frequencies, thru the wiggly acid-disco grind and canter of ‘Wake Up Shake it’, to the supremely rude low end oscillations of a ‘Test Drive’ going on like some stray Jo Bogaert bomb from 1990, and again with the New Beat-esque metallic galvanisation of ‘Numero 4’ for some proper body-bouncing jakbeat business.
