Boomkat Product Review:
Berlin's Felix K perfuses his typically arid great area textures and pulses with a rarer sense of pathos in Die Kunst zu Verschwinden or (The Art of Disappearing).
Both in tone, spatial sensitivity and emotional subject, it bears a clear resemblance to Mika Vainio’s Ø album, Kanatmoinen, serving to reveal a warmer pathos behind its ostensibly cold and tensile structures and forcefield of plangent reverb and echo. Basically, if you’re after minimal D&B or techno, you won’t find it here.
But if you’re into explorative ambient sound design a la Monolake or ASC, this one’s worth checking.
