Boomkat Product Review:
It’s been a while, Factory Floor. Two years in fact since their last 12” for DFA, in which time they’ve lost a member, Dom Butler to his Bronze Teeth and Green Gums projects, leaving Nik Colk Void and Gabe Gurnsey to pursue a leaner, fruitier sound on Dial Me In.
The follow-up to How You Say (EP.1) revolves hip-slung Chicago acid bass, skeletal cold wave dubbing and laconic vocals from both players iced out and urged on for strobe-lit clubs and warehouses.
Dial Me In appears in a ruddy, squirming original and more serpentine Club Mix laced with wicked, sloshing cowbell pitches, and Work It Out twists some squirrelly synths over rolling bass and dead-eyed vox on the B-side.
