Boomkat Product Review:
Austrian musician Markus Reuter once again joins forces with DiN label boss Ian Boddy, ten years on from their first collaboration, and on this occasion they're joined by none other than King Crimson drummer Pat Mastelotto, helping fashion the album's elaborate prog-IDM make-up. Certain compositional themes on the album give a nod to Olivier Messiaen, whose influence is most clearly felt on the impressive title track, which even goes so far as to embrace some complex string-quartet harmonies in addition to the deluge of awkward guitar licks and scattershot programmed beats. Although this probably isn't an album for everyone, listeners with a penchant for musical genres that have the suffix "-fusion" - particularly those in possession of a beard - are likely to get excited by this.
