Boomkat Product Review:
Body-gargling acid from Dutch box botherer Alkaloid Desperado aka CrusHerr, on Suction’s ruder sublabel, Dope Sheets
Also a graduate of I-F’s Murder Capital skool of hard knocks, CrusHerr specialises in a suitably potent style of 303 nastiness on ‘Den Haag Acid Pack’. It’s their most substantial dose of dirty brown acid to date, unloading six raw tracky bangers in the classic model of Bunkered rave hypnosis.
‘Tanz Acid’ sparks it off with toiling machine drums and Roland tang right on the biting-point, beside the blunt thwack of ‘Beacon’ and screwy Chicago jab jak in ‘Pingman’. The lurching beast ‘Zombie Apocalypse’ comes off like an acid casualty sibling of Gesloten Cirkel, and there’s a dead strong slice of slower, kerb-crawling electro-acid ‘Off The Planet’, plus the grim, whiny slug of ‘Titan’ to taste.
