Boomkat Product Review:
If I was Dan, I wouldn't let some barnyard animal steal top billing from me. Ha. I jest of course. That was me just breaking the ice there. Dan Duncan & Igor Tchkotoua (the Pig of the title) return to Cocoon for two of their own productions plus a Latze mix of the title track. 'Deliverance' begins with a clicky kick/hat combo with some muffled warbling preventing the track from sounding entirely generic. It all picks up pretty quickly though, not tweaking the beats too much, but laying on a nice line in dubby pads that transforms into a delayed bass hook after the breakdown. 'Sly Detector' gets off to a fizzy, glitchy start with a filtered percussion line, only for a memorable bass part to take over within a few bars, sounding a bit like a trance retake of Daft Punk's 'Around The World'. The remix spends a lot of time sticking to those clicky beats of the source material, eventually getting round to throwing in a few more percussive elements, but keeping all narrative development to a sparing minimum.
