Boomkat Product Review:
Pat Murano ov No Neck Blues Band presents another enveloping journey through freeformed psych, skudged techno and horror score atmospheres on 'Decimus 10'. Seattle's Further Records have the pleasure of hosting this 40 minute stygian trip, one of Pat's most pellucid and bizarre, following his primordial, lo-fi excursions for Kelippah, Planam and Digitalis. Guided by steady sleight of hand, its two 20 minute sides devolve from motorik pulses thru antechambers of annexed ambient, pulsing shockwaves and groaning synths feeling out phantasmic figures in lightless interzones between the warehouse and the back-street snuff cinema. The ghosts of TG at their quietest, possessed, are transfused through a sludgy chimeric body of amorphous mass - bones, gristle and synth ligament contort in outer space flux, stumbling and peeling, growing new limbs that grasp at the sounds of Demdike Stare or Maurizio Bianchi, but with an elusive non-linear logic that defies concrete description. We could safely say this is one of the best Decimus editions we've yet encountered. Recommended.
