Boomkat Product Review:
Microlith beckons with the warm, crisp and emotive acid-electro gesture Dance With Me; his debut album for Sheffield’s Central Processing Unit after the introductory 12” Hello 307 (2015).
Vibes are set with the tangled melodies and clipped torque of I Wanna, leading into the melted acid swing and flush pads of Taking Over on some Rephlexian tip, with In & Out shifting into spacious electro-soul and Rain Dance calling to the machine spirits.
The titular centre-piece could almost be from some vintage DMX Krew release, and Holy Flow switches tack into late night electromance, complemented by the deep set tone Saint Holy, and he really juices out the nostalgic atmospheres from Bouncy Castle.
