Boomkat Product Review:
Having originally surfaced in 2008, Dance Floor Drachen was the fifth album by Antye Greie, one that concentrates on elaborately programmed, beat-centric approach to production. AGF's customary style of esoteric poetry and vocal manipulation is central, and among these tracks you'll hear outtakes or unused sketches for collaborations with Vladislav Delay/Luomo, such as the previously unreleased 2001 piece 'Than Reconsider' (which proves to be especially excellent) and 'Slowly' (a remake of 'Tunesia'). Throughout the production is deftly realised and always vehemently left-of-field, usually edited to a heavily refined extreme. The impressive results include the insanely detailed looping workouts of 'because This Is' and the frenzied avant electro-pop of 'Reduced Beauty'. Good stuff.
