Boomkat Product Review:
A good arrangement this - one of the most exciting up-and-coming dubstep producers pairing up with one of the scene's most admired imprints - the result being one of the most hotly anticipated twelves on the scene for some time. Goth-Trad come from Japan, and their cultural heritage imbues their material with a fresh resonance that's like a breath of fresh air - something that's particularly evident on the mighty "Flags", the percussive resonance and key changes having little in common with the progression-by-numbers so many dubstep operators seem to be utilising moment. It's a track that keeps the low-end emphasis paramount at all times (check those ridiculous wobbles) without ever compromising the crisp peaks of the hi-hats, nor the ample space the track requires to show off its broad frequencies - the result being nothing short of immense. Brilliant stuff!
