Boomkat Product Review:
Beautifully arranged sublime and divine chanteuse led off-kilter pop Featuring Post-Splunk DIY icon Rob Storey, Dave Perlis and newcomer, French vocalist Florence Raynaud.
"It was on tour with Perlis in France where Storey first became infatuated with concert promoter-cum-pizza chef Florence Raynaud and attempted to win her favour by requesting she perform vocals on the Perlis penned/Killorglin produced composition "Fraise”. Following a string of critically panned hare-brained novelty discs, Producer Earl of Killorglin was drawn to the project for deeply personal reasons: Their self-titled debut album is the result of a twisted love triangle: Raynaud didn't want to work with Storey, Storey didn't want to work with Perlis and Perlis didn't want to work with Raynaud...
The heavy lifting was done with help from the infamous Orchestre Murphy at Club Integral's bustling London H.Q, while vocals were recorded in Brussels and Arras, France and finally a layer of baroque studio wizardry was applied in the North Woods of Wisconsin. Says producer Earl of Killorglin: "We read the reviews first and then we decided what record to make."
