Boomkat Product Review:
For the 2nd instalment in their Con-struct series, M=minimal handed original Conrad Schnitzler material to Kriedler's Andreas Reihse, with varied and surprising results. Reihse is evidently familiar with Schnitzler's oeuvre and respectfully reorganises the elemental sound stems with due, stringent attention to reductionist values, oscillating between sheer tonal space scapes and motorik rhythms with a clear, precise and linear logic. In beatless mode he coolly elucidates the original material's dissonant qualities, yielding a number of concise explorations of metallic glisten and resonant bass frequencies, while the rhythm tracks are at once groovy and industrially cold, sometimes reminding of his Kriedler bandmate Detlef Weinrich's recent Tolouse Low Trax output, or at times somehow sounding like a more stoic, minimal relation to Stefan Schwander's Harmonious Thelonious, and equally finding compatibility with the likes of KPLR or Metasplice.
