Boomkat Product Review:
Skudge catch a narcotised album of deep cuts from Aardvarck following 2014's 'Plus Det' 12" and a killer remix of 'Convolution' some years prior.
With room to stretch out on certain ideas and really home in and experiment on others, the album format has historically been a good place to check Aardvarck, and this one follows suit.
The first disc finds him keeping up with the noisy crowd in a pair of salty, loopy bumps laced with tribal drums and celestial pads, beside the first of a few gorgeous solo piano interludes deposits us in the NWAQ-style revolutions of 'PAS' and a dope beatdown house edit of Martyn's 'Vancouver'.
Meanwhile, the 10" unfurls three more uptempo treats, taking in latinate techno aerodynamics and one of those lovely interludes on one side, and a fizzy trip to the stars on the flipside.
