Boomkat Product Review:
Night School caretaker Michael Kasparis a.k.a. Apostille ventures his most impressive album of synth-pop ditties to date with ‘Choose Life’, dispatched via London’s Upset! The Rhythm
From a mean David Byrne impersonation in ‘Fly With The Dolphin’, to something like Hot Chip on ‘Feel Bad’, to the brooding, John Foxx-alike ‘In Control’, thru the acidic-pop fructose of ‘Without Me’ and the Visage-like stepper ’Thirteen Minutes’, it’s all achingly smart and shiny synth-pop, then for some reason he comes off like Cex & Kid606 with the jungle-meets-pop of ‘Choose Life’.
A highly enjoyable record.
