Boomkat Product Review:
Red Rack’em’s first release on Ramp comes in anticipation of a full album, and while it might be an interesting sidewards glance on Ramp’s part, it works great peek into the producer’s sound. Opener ‘Chirpsin’ is a confident slice of minimalist neo-funky with all the kind of FM harps and gruesome low end you’d hope from a main eventer, but we’re more fascinated with the delirious, darkcore vibes of flipside banger ‘All Alone’. Coming across like it was recorded in a torture dungeon somewhere in Eastern Europe this is exactly what we love about dance music; sleazy, unpredictable and welded together for prime warehouse murdah.
