Boomkat Product Review:
Planet Mu once again take steps into the unknown with this debut EP from Greek duo 'Keep Shelly In Athens'. It's a post-wave affair, taking influence from the mid-80's deconstructivist pop of Autre Ne Veut, Salem's inverted gothic iconograpny and more traditional indie-pop signatures to make for a nicely diverse 4-track affair. The sales notes mention 'Violator' era Depeche Mode, and it's no bad comparison, especially on the slightly bombastic "Struggle With Yourself", while "The Chains" sounds like one of Grimes' more plasticated productions. In all, a decent effort from a band already described as being "the toast of the blog world".
