Mojuba (and its excellent offshoot imprint ARTLESS) have fast joined the ranks of deep, dubby techno imprints that press up such meagre quantities that you count yourself lucky whenever you find one it's fine, hand-stamped releases. This latest killer from Sven Weisemann looks destined to join the ranks of the most sought-after Mojuba releases, its easily the best thing on the label to date and comes as a perfect follow-up to Weisemann's killer "Shade" EP for the Meanwhile label. The A-side track "Cabana Fever" is just immense and rather different to the berlin-style dubism that has typified much of his output do date - focusing instead on a more airy Detroit template that's augmented by a square bassline that could only possibly be described as SICK, and some lovely chiming keys that conjure up the breezy summertime vibes so sorely missing from these shores right now. "Activity Chain" on the flip, meanwhile, is an out and out deep-time killer, the production here is just inspiring, solitary neon stabs and velvet basslines aligning themselves for another one of those Klang meets Basic Channel 6-am club tracks that we can never get enough of. We've managed to get a measly 40 copies of this twelve - DON'T SLEEP!
