Boomkat Product Review:
New York's Team Shadetek have been ripping beats, destroying equipment and building demented hip hop hybrids for a good few years now, despite their unlikely youthful appearance. Blowing up on the scene with the release of their Stephen Hawkins meets DMX inspired debut, the Team have been busy running their own Shadetek imprint (check out the quite incredible "The Girls" EP due out soon!!!!!), hanging out with the likes of Modeselektor in Berlin, working with the Sound Ink crew on a rebuilt b-boy project (rumours of a collaboration with MF Dooom yet to be confirmed!!) and generally impressing everyone with their love and knowledge of good tags, autechre twelves and any good tunes worth mentioning. Rumours of a Warp hookup have been floating for what seems like an eternity, so here at long last is the EP doublepack and CD "Burnerism", a sort of mashed intersection between the beats of El-P and the decimated structures of Ae, pressed loud and clear, squashed to perfection. One for the B Boys and B girls who like it awkward, big up the team sht!!
