Boomkat Product Review:
Swaddled in mystic and romantic psychedelia, Gypsy Treasures is a new alias for Aria Jalali aka LA's Railcars. His first offering is 'Buried Goods', an engrossingly epic recount of hallucinatory imagery and landless drifts through zones associated with Sun City Girls and their Sublime Frequencies empire or even Harrapian Night Recordings. Seducing us into his Pandora's tent, 'Stray Dogs Of Wroclaw' conducts a service of hand-drums, starry-sky-licking guitar and reverbed wraithes preparing the air for the arrival of 'Four Horsemen', a more urgent meeting of hashashin drums, humming electronic tones and gritty filtered distortion. Resolving that tension 'Tadpole Walks Home' is a slow dervish of faux-modal guitar lines embedded in a mist of delicate percussions and evaporating electronic frequencies while 'Of Moorish Times' appears to set up at a bazaar occupied by numerous other satyrs and spirit-wranglers, their dissonant polyphony intoxicating to the core. Stunning release, recommended!
