We must have sold several - many - thousands of these in their various iterations, including editions made in collab with Philip Glass and Throbbing Gristle, and after about a decade in the wilderness, they’re now back, in a new replica version of the very first edition from 2005 - that’s before the Iphone era - with improved controls and sound quality. oh, and that all important line out, for your buddha boxing!
In 2005 the Beijing-based duo of Christiaan Virant and Zhang Jian released their first, soon to be iconic “Buddha Machine” loop box, a quirky pocket soundsystem that propelled sound art into the consumer mainstream.
