Boomkat Product Review:
New Order's fourth album (released in 1986), Brotherhood is an album of two halves: the first takes a more organic, post-punk derived sound, with Peter Hook spending some quality time with the uppermost reaches of his fretboard and laying down some of his most instantly recognisable basslines. By the time hit single 'Bizarre Love Triangle' comes around you're confronted with a very different record, one characterised by the same sort of expertly crafted synth pop that filled up Low-Life a year earlier. As you'd expect, this Collector's Edition comes with a remastered version of the original album plus a bonus disc featuring non-album singles, 12" mixes ('True Faith' and the '88 mix of 'Bllue Monday' amongst others) plus B-sides.
