Boomkat Product Review:
Remastered reissue of the debut solo album by Tuxedomoon's Blaine L Reininger, backed with five rare bonus live and demo tracks. 'Broken Fingers' was recorded in Brussels in February 1982 with assistance from fellow Tuxedomoon members Peter Principle and Steven Brown and veers with brilliant vision between gloomy, Bowie-esque balladeering on the title track to skulking darkwave shuffler, 'Uptown' via the skittish orientalist oddity, 'Nur Al Hajj', thru the gothic splendour of 'Magic Time' and the kinky latin wave stepper 'Gigolo Grasiento' to the horror flick motifs of 'Spiny Doughboys' and the beautiful misery of 'Sons Of The Silent Age', before taking in strange but dead smooth soul of 'Playin' Your Game' and the swaggering groove of 'Magnetic Life'.
