Boomkat Product Review:
The prolific duo roll off the back of their strongest material to date - the 'Kundalini' EP for Electric Deluxe and 'FVS EP for Samurai Horo - with two of their canniest room wreckers, backed with a Russell Haswell de-composition. In recent times we've noticed their stodgy, rigid rhythms become looser, itchier, with no expense to their grittily stripped down aesthetic. Here, 'Bow 1' writhes like a good 'un with frictional rhythms and shape-shifting electronics, and 'Bow 2' is better yet, bringing a tetchier, tribalist funk to their rusted palette. Most inetrsting of all is the Russell Haswell remix inversion, reducing 'Bow 1' to an animated residue of bristling rhythms, near-infrasonic subbass pressure and unpredictable, freestyle irregularity.
