Boomkat Product Review:
Dope debut album from Damon Bell for AYBEE's Deepblak label. Building to this point since 2009's 'Kush Musik Part 1', Bell has been an integral member of Deepblak ever since, also recently releasing on R&S's Meda Fury sub-label. His first long-player, 'Blues for the Libyan' yields eight cuts in orbit of African rhythms, US deep house, and jazz-wise electronics, all compatible with his peers, Aybee and Afrikan Sciences, yet distinguished from them by virtue of smoother, soulful touch in highlights such as 'Chromosone Replacement' featuring Khalil Anthony, or his own spacey D^BO! Vershun of 'Kampala'. This one's a longtime burner.
