Boomkat Product Review:
Hessle Audio make another step in the right direction with this tight selection of cuts from Ramadanman. In similar styles to this weeks drop from Instra:mental, Ramandanman pays some dues to the legendary riddim styles of Photek, with a considered and calculated rhythm construction formed from a rich percussive pallette and reduced atmospherics drawing in field recordings and delicate pads for a superbly immersive experience similar to the finest Burial or Shackleton compostions. B-side tracks 'Drowning' and 'tak' take a paralell route with more 140bpm rhythm experiementation blending 2-step scientifics and rugged drum machine patterns but it's got to be the A-side that makes this worth your time and money. Recommended!
