Boomkat Product Review:
Reissue of this shoegazy "Post-Folk Neo-Baroque" album by Lou Rogia, together with Man Man's Russell Higbee and Eve Miller of Rachel's. You couldn't really put this album in with the freak folk lot, it's just too clean and, err, not freaky. Instead, Lewis & Clarke make exquisite chamber pop songs with considered infusions of Eastern instrumentation and sparingly used, spaciously rendered electronics which lend this album more of a levitating psychedelic feel. It's practically worth it for the tenderly nuanced ten minute heart warmer 'Before It Breaks You'.
