Boomkat Product Review:
Recorded, played and produced by David Toop at the mythic Batosphere in the autumn of 2002. This record is an important landmark in Mr Toop's work so far as it's a revisitation and a synthesis of many preoccupations from his whole artistic life. Recorded with input from Tom Recchion, Terry Day, Paul Burnwell, Bob Cobbing, Yurihito Watanabe and Lol Coxhill.... many of these musicians were the main protagonists of the London improv scene in the seventies. Included among the varied improv/electro.acoustic soundscapes are many field recordings from Italy, China and in Toop's back garden in London town. The tonality and general key is very diverse with a special japanese feeling, lingering and floating in the air. Recommended.
