Boomkat Product Review:
Following the excellent IDM experiments of their recent Fear Ratio album, James Ruskin and Mark Broom regroup for a new EP of no-nonsense, 'floor-flexing techno. 'Bites' is tracky, Rob Hood-esque gear, a gloriously frigid synth lick riding a square-jawed 4/4; 'Nel' puts similar elements into play, albeit on a longer, livelier leash, while on 'D.O.D.', gloomy Sandwell/Raime-esque strings hang like dark clouds over buzzing acidic bass and a wickedly syncopated, stop-start kick pattern. Three tracks primed for fool-proof club destruction - must-have business for the tuffer-minded techno heads.
