Boomkat Product Review:
**Now available in FLAC format** Given that the last Syncom Data twelve was for our money easily the most inspired record to have come out of the Clone family for quite some years, it's really quite good that this follow-up hasn't proven to be disappointing. Positioning themselves somewhere between classic Detroit electro, Rhythm & Sound's spacious dubisms and the pristine aesthetics of Raster Noton, this really is as genre-defying as it is funked-up. "Beyond the Stars" xomes in a Dub version for the Rhythm and Sound fans and a beatless version which reminds a bit of early Carl Craig works. The pick here though is the rocking Beats version which kills it on the floor, proper styles. Original synthesis and a cool Detroit feel with some bass drums that drive so low they could knock you off of your feet, this really is the real deal - get on it!
