Boomkat Product Review:
The long awaited return of Mike Ladd's hip hop concepticians, now adapted as The Majesticon's the immortal rotobotic terrorising enemy of The Infesticons. Forget the concept, 'Beauty Party' is a remarkable album - future hip hop scenario's imagined by the mad genius visionary Mike Ladd. There's even a touch of N*E*R*D in the lyricism, pop and r'n'b glitches like the most spangly stuff on the last Antipop album. Def Jux allstars emcee's Vast Aire, El-P and Murs also feature bringing the critical hip hop elements. Bombs on first listen are 'Fader Party' with the dj skills of Fred Ones and 'Prom Night Party' killer party action that sounds like the sequel to 'Ghostlawns' by Antipop shacked up with The Sugarbabes. 'Majestwest Party' features Murs spitting dope dirt rhymes and 'Suburb Party' find El-P and Vast Aire 'jacking ho's in volvo's' - sick bomb. Killer no holds barred hip hop opera on crack. This album is the bomb.
