Boomkat Product Review:
**180 gm vinyl printed inner sleeves & silk-screened transparent over-sleeves. Download cards included. Edition of 300 copies** Ssaliva completely dazzles with the crystalline geometries of 'Be Me', his debut album for Ekster - the same Belgian label behind that amazing T C F 10" and freaks from Hiele. To date, it's been a joy to navigate Ssaliva's output between numerous aliases and releases since his emergence in 2011, each one revealing a lucid yet elusive glimpse of his hyper-ambient chamber music dimensions. With 'Be Me' he's achieved a simulated depth of field and dynamic that really brings his music to life quite unlike any previous releases, animating 13 hyaline sound designs with intricate illuminations and a perpetual sense of dreamy (e)motion - perhaps best taken as an emulation of those intangible hours of peak-time MDMA buzz. We could almost imagine him as some monk-like character, enlightened by an eccie buzz and working by Mac-screen glow, nimbly sculpting the delicious thizz of 'Extra Space' or weaving the filigree lines of 'Haptics' and the nerve-dancing notation of 'Guilt'. It's all as fresh as you like and should be strongly recommended to anyone feeling recent releases from T C F, Dynooo, Arca.
